BMT FILMS, LLC. was formed to create films about real women, women who are too infrequently seen on screen, but whom we all know.

From a young age movies have been a passion. Bambi, Charlie Chaplin films, Annie Hall and Personal Velocity were some of the films that awed me with their originality. It wasn’t until I retired from teaching that I gave myself permission to think seriously about working in film. CineWomenNY, NYWIFT and IFP offered exhilarating networking with filmmakers.

I read books, studied screenwriting, attended workshops and conferences and I learned how to produce my own work. Producing is not that much different from organizing and carrying out a good lesson plan. My first venture was to produce, “A Wake-up Call” short, directed by Adam Nadler. It was a huge undertaking and a great learning experience.
